Glide Group has connected its dark fibre infrastructure with Proximity Data Centres’ newly acquired Birmingham edge colocation site.

Spanning the entire city, Glide’s 30km fibre ring will provide Proximity’s Edge 8 facility access to low latency, highly responsive applications and services.

The dark fibre connection also provides an additional network route into Edge 8, allowing carriers and service providers to offer their own dark fibre and managed ‘lit’ connectivity solutions across the region.
